Rory Adamson is one of two Partners responsible for the Audit and Business Advisory Services division of Jawad Habib & Co. Adamson began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in London. In 1994 he transferred to Coopers & Lybrand in Bahrain, and was made Partner in charge of Audit in 1996. Rory spent five years in London, where he held a senior financial management role with Lloyds TSB Bank, and was Head of Risk and Audit at E D & F MAN, before returning to Bahrain in 2001.
Jassim Abdul Aal is one of two Partners responsible for the Audit and Business Advisory Services division of Jawad Habib & Co. Mr Abdul -Aal commenced his professional career with Jawad Habib & Co. in 1988. He subsequently spent five years with Coopers & Lybrand in the UK where he qualified as a chartered accountant. He has accumulated a substantial amount of experience in audit and special assignments for both growing business and large blue chip clients.
Carl Gordon is the Partner & a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and has 14 years auditing experience gained with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in the United Kingdom and Ernst & Young’s Muscat, Oman and Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia offices.
Carl has lived in the Middle East since 1996 and has substantial financial service and oil and gas industry knowledge gained through managing audits and a wide range of consultancy and special assignments.
Abbas Al Radhi is the Partner in charge of the Corporate Legal Services division. He joined the firm in 1986 and became a Partner in 1996. He then moved to Qatar where he was Country Senior Partner of the PricewaterhouseCoopers office. Abbas is a member of the Finance and Research Committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a member of the GCC Accounting and Auditing Organisation, a member of the Bahrain Society for Training and Development and a Chairman of Bahrain Accountantts Association.
Jawad Habib has over 35 years'
experience in professional accounting and consulting. He began his career
with Bahrain Petroleum Company from where he moved on to successfully complete
his accountancy examinations for the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
in London. In 1971, after obtaining 14 years of industry experience, he moved
to the professional field of auditing and management consultancy where he
worked for two of the largest accounting firms in the Arab world and was responsible
for their activities in several countries. He was a partner of the Pricewaterhouse
Middle East Joint Venture operations for 4 years until he established Jawad
Habib & Co., a professional firm of public accountants and management consultants,
in 1980. As the Senior Partner of Jawad Habib & Co. he established the firm's
affiliation with Coopers & Lybrand International in 1986. Following the worldwide
merger between Pricewaterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand in 1998, Jawad Habib
led the Bahrain practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, as the Country Senior
Partner, for 3 years, until 2001. At the beginning of 2002 Jawad Habib & Co.
became a Member Firm of BDO International.

Gary Garner (Director, Corporate Finance)Gary Garner recently joined BDO Jawad Habib as Director in Charge of the firm’s Management Consulting Practice. He has extensive business strategy, business development and analysis skills.
He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School and an honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from University of Wales. Gary qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse & Co in London before moving to Australia where his financial skills were used in financial and management consulting roles.
A significant part of his career has been in providing management, finance, investment feasibility and valuation expertise for clients in UK, Australia, SE Asia and Bahrain He has worked for three blue chip service industry businesses: PW (UK), KPMG (Australia), Coopers & Lybrand (Bahrain, Hong Kong & Australia).
Gary has had a diversified financial and consulting career that has a strong international flavour. He is fully conversant with the issues facing international and diversified business and is expert in business and project feasibility, ‘turnaround’ and valuation work.
His consulting experience has also equipped Gary with strong strategic thinking and organisation effectiveness skills that enable him to make a significant contribution to client’s investment decisions.
Kamal Masri is the Director in charge of the Business Consulting practice of the Firm. Prior to joining BDO Jawad Habib, Kamal worked at Accenture/Andersen, Middle East and Arthur Anderson and Perot Systems, USA. Kamal also directed and managed all operating activities, including IT, customer service, management and technical services of a leading financial services organisation in Bahrain prior to joining BDO Jawad Habib. During his career, Kamal has gained vast expertise in transforming companies from business strategy and organisation to process and technology and has contributed to client transformation programmes in various industries; construction/contracting, government, postal services, utilities, telecommunications, healthcare, trading, distribution and manufacturing. Kamal is a graduate of the George Mason University, USA (1988), where he obtained a B.S. in Management Information Systems.

Tim Young (Director, Business Strategy) has strong experience of moulding organisations and systems to meet business needs. He has worked in a variety of industries, especially financial services and technology-related services and products. He has in depth experience of strategic marketing and business change. His knowledge combines experience in marketing, IT and organisation design to achieve innovative and pragmatic solutions to clients business problems. Tim worked for ICL as a consultant designer and analyst on Financial Services client projects. He subsequently moved to a strategic marketing role, analysing market trends in the Financial Services industry in order to align ICL to meet the needs. This involved re-engineering some of the business processes and acquiring products and companies. Tim left ICL and worked as an independent business consultant in the UK, Africa and the Middle East. He then joined the Bahrain practice and has been helping organisations design and implement change whether with regard to organisational structure, culture or systems.
Bipin Kapur (Senior Manager, Audit) has gained exposure in the field of statutory audits,
internal audits, system studies and consultancy jobs during his current tenure with Jawad Habib & Co.
Bipin is responsible for managing the audits conducted by audit supervisors, seniors and
assistants and ensuring that a quality and value-added audit is performed. He is also
involved in the final review of audit files, preparing management letters listing major
internal control weaknesses and ensuring compliance with local statutory laws and
International Accounting Standards. Bipin has been involved in assisting clients
in setting up computerised accounting systems.
Fuad Abdulla (Manager, MCS)
Fuad Abdulla joined BDO Jawad Habib as a Manager within the Business Development Division. He has broad operational, commercial and public policy experience in the Telecommunications sector.
Fuad is a Bachelor of Engineering (Telecommunications & Electronics) from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada and has 19 years experience in the telecommunications sector in the areas of operations, commercial and public policy in addition to a sound knowledge in the emerging Information & Communications Technologies (ICT) Sector. Fuad has experience in a variety of private and public sector industries and was involved with the economic and costing issues impacting the incumbent telecommunications operator for the Kingdom of Bahrain and the public policy making body, the Ministry of Transportation. During recent liberalisation and e-commerce strategies within the Kingdom of Bahrain, Fuad held leading roles in project management. These strategies resulted in considerable structural and policy reforms in the Kingdom of Bahrain for economic and trade efficiency.
He has had wide exposure in the international arena, particularly in the fields of negotiations and team leadership which led to telecommunications net trade balance savings. He also succeeded in drafting the Kingdom’s commitments to the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
Fuad is currently completing a Certified Management Accountant (CMA/CFM) course with the IMA, USA.
Sameer Al-Maskati (Manager, Legal) joined Coopers & Lybrand Jawad Habib in 1980 as an auditor
and in 1982 he became the head of Share Registration Department.
He has handled registrations of many top companies in Bahrain.
He was the head of the Share Registration Department, which
handled Bahrain Telecommunications Company (BATELCO), Bahrain Cinema
Company and Bahrain Car Parks Company. Sameer has wide experience in
providing Commercial and Business Advisory Services specifically relating
to formation of companies and flotation of public share holding companies.
He is now the Manager responsible for our Litigation Department.
Riyaz Jivanjee recently joined BDO Jawad Habib as Manager within the Management Consulting Division.
After completing a double major in BA degree (Accounting & Finance and French Language & Literature) from Oxford Brookes University Riyaz completed his MBA in Strategy and Investment at Cornell University in the USA. Riyaz has 15 years experience at various consulting/managerial levels in real estate, hospitality and e-commerce industries. Prior to joining us Riyaz worked with a private venture capital firm in the United Kingdom.
With substantial experience at consulting and managerial levels Riyaz will be a valuable addition to the BDO Jawad Habib operation.

Administrative Assistant and is now Administrative Manager.
He is responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective
day-to-day operations of the office, including the IT network.
He has strong administrative skills and the ability to manage
all tasks with proficiency. He has successfully assisted in
setting up project offices and has co-ordinated as a business
set up facilitator.
He plays a major part in maintaining the
corporate identity standards and possesses extensive
experience in market research.

Michelle Bailey
Michelle Bailey has joined JHC Recruitment, a division of BDO Jawad Habib, as Manager of Recruitment. Michelle holds a BA degree in Psychology and has 15 years experience at various managerial levels in recruitment, human resources, staff management and training. Prior to joining the Firm, Michelle worked with one of Australia’s largest privately owned recruitment agencies as their Regional Manager.
JHC Recruitment is a division of BDO Jawad Habib and was created in 2003. Michelle will be responsible for providing premium HR and recruitment services to a wide range of national and regional clients.
Abdulla Rahma, Manager
Abdulla holds an MBA and a BSc degree in International Business Management. Prior to joining BDO Jawad Habib, Abdulla worked with Ernst & Young and Andersen Business Consulting and was involved in various consulting projects in the Middle East region. Abdulla's areas of expertise include project management, information systems strategies, e-commerce, business process re-engineering, organisational restructuring, privatisation and restructuring.
Sanjay Tupe, Senior Audit Manager
