Jawad Habib & Co. prepares students for auditing careers Aug. 19, 2001 After two months of summer training with Jawad Habib & Co., ten summer trainees are filled with enthusiasm and are starting to have a taste of their future professional lives. Seven of the trainees are university students, the other three are from high school. They joined Jawad Habib & Co., the leading national auditing and consulting firm, on the first of July for a 2-month training period. New Partners Join Jawad Habib & Co. 16 September 2001 Two new partners, Jassim Abdul-Aal and Arif Rahimi, have recently been appointed at Jawad Habib & Co., the leading national auditing and consulting firm. These appointments are in line with the companys future strategy which focuses on excellence in professional services delivered to local and multinational companies operating in the Bahrain and the Gulf. Mr. Jassim Abdul-Aal is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He has been practicing in the auditing profession with Jawad Habib & Co. since 1988, during which he worked for 5 years as an auditing supervisor for Coopers & Lybrand in the UK. |
Downs Syndrome Children to Enjoy Greenery Rotaract Club and Jawad Habib in Joint Effort November 5, 2001 The Children at the Downs Syndrome Care Center in Adliya saw a dream come true last Friday afternoon as men and women from the community participated, following the instructions of a professional gardener, in repairing and beautifying the centers playground. The event was organized by the Rotaract Club of Manama-Salmania and sponsored by Jawad Habib & Co. The Downs Syndrome Societys main objective is to develop the local services available to individuals with Downs Syndrome. stated Dr. Mohamed Al Mannai, President of the Downs Syndrome Society. He further commented, We wish to promote awareness about Downs Syndrome in order to involve the community in improving the quality of life of individuals affected by it. This project comes as part of the Rotaract Clubs yearly plan of activities which members develop as a result of studying the needs of different organizations in Bahrain. Ministry of Labor Commemorates Partner at Jawad Habib & Co. Jassim Abdul-Aal one of Bahrains highest achievers for 2001 December 25, 2001 Jassim Abdul-Aal, Partner at Jawad Habib & Co. was commemorated on December 24, 2001 during an event organized by the Ministry of Labor, under the patronage of H.R.H. the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa. This commemoration is held to appreciate the achievements of exceptionally talented people in Bahrain. Jassim is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the UK and has over 13 years of experience in audit and business assurance. He started his career with Jawad Habib & Co. in 1988. Between 1990 and 1995, he worked in the UK office of Coopers & Lybrand where he was responsible for both growing businesses and large blue chip clients. Jassim has accumulated a substantial amount of auditing experience in several fields including, airline, manufacturing companies, services, general trading, insurance, and educational institutions. |
Jawad Habib & Co Investing in Human Resources December 31, 2001 20 staff members from Jawad Habib & Co. received an intensive training in business assurance. The training seminar took place at the Diplomat Radisson Hotel, between the 25th and 27th of December 2001. This comes as part of Jawad Habib & Co. initiative for continued investment in human resources. The purpose of this training is to enhance staff audit skills and technical knowledge and to introduce them to Jawad Habib & Co. audit approach, focusing on client service. Both existing and new, expatriate and national staff are participating. Thus the workshop is serving multi-fold purposes: refreshing the skills of existing staff and updating them on modern auditing techniques, inducing new staff to Jawad Habib & Co. s ethics and values, and familiarizing expatriate staff with the local culture and the legal framework in Bahrain. |
